Commission for a Friend

This piece is for a friend who really enjoys Teen Titans. Take the team and fast-forward 5 years. It's unfinished and done with my trusty number 2, so the details sometimes come out a tad shiny.

First Real Seller

I sold exactly one print of this piece at Anime Boston '08 while I was hanging out in the artist's alley. I unfortunately didn't really have a table to call home, so I probably sold less than I might've. Oh well.
The Color job was less impressive.

Random Piece

Just some random Sketch-to-Photoshop piece I did for fun. I'll put it up here since I don't really have a proper portfolio yet, and because I like how it turned out. Just keep in mind, most of the details on the background are merely placeholders. I'll finish this piece someday..maybe.

Anatomy Class Continued

Ah, forgot one.

Oh, and she's sitting of ruffled cloth, which is why her rear-end looks odd.

Class Project

This piece was created due to a class project about creating a mythological animal or something of the sort. Unfortunately, this was one of the one-nighters, so I didn't have time to fit in the ruins of New York in the background or the broken torch of the Statue of Liberty. To be perfectly honest, I didn't really have time for a good background at all.

Anatomy Class Continued

Damn, this one's a bit blurry.

Anatomy Class Continued

Funny thing is, I barely exaggerated her.

Anatomy Class Continued

Each of these were lonesome, so I just put them together.

Anatomy Class

Okay, this whole bunch is gonna be from my anatomy class of my second semester at FIT. Same bad camera, but these are done on 18x24 newsprint with charcoal, so these pictures should actually have some definition.

Ack, this one was a pain. I had the worst seat in the whole room, mainly because I was late but that's not the point. Unfortunately, her head was right behind the light so I couldn't see jack. Oh, and sorry for the upside-down view. I'll get the hang of this eventually.
Continuation from previous post.

Sketchpad Collection

More often than not, I strip my sketchbooks of any pieces that actually turn into anything more than doodles. Every now and again, however, I keep them for some reason.

Here is a collection of a few better pieces that survived.

Note: these were taken with a decently bad digital camera. Consider that along with the fact that the sketchbook was smaller than your mousepad when you see them.

This post is really less about showing this image and more about me being able to access it from another computer. Still though, I love this painting...which is why I really want to do it justice and spruce it up on photoshop.

I hate painting.

First Post

Hello from the past, future bloggers. This is Dan here, posting my first sketch up. If you are reading this, then it likely was not the last. Anyway, I'll have an updated version of this puppy up...eventually.

Note: I have not finished the pants in this sketch. You'll be surprised to see how much of a recurring problem this will be.
